Our team of experienced pediatric ophthalmologists ensures a thorough, compassionate, and child-friendly approach to managing a wide range of eye conditions in children, helping them achieve optimal vision and long-term eye health.
Children's eyes are in a critical stage of development, and timely diagnosis and treatment of eye conditions can make a significant difference in their vision and quality of life. Common pediatric eye conditions we address include: Refractive Errors: Nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism. Amblyopia (Lazy Eye): Reduced vision in one eye due to abnormal visual development. Strabismus (Squint): Misalignment of the eyes, where one or both eyes may turn inward, outward, upward, or downward. Ptosis: Drooping of the upper eyelid, which may obstruct vision. Congenital Eye Disorders: Conditions present at birth, such as congenital cataracts or glaucoma. Eye Infections and Allergies: Redness, irritation, or discharge affecting children’s daily activities.
Strabismus, commonly known as squint, is a condition where the eyes do not align properly. It can affect one or both eyes and may be constant or intermittent. If left untreated, strabismus can lead to complications such as amblyopia (lazy eye) and impaired binocular vision, affecting depth perception.
